Nike Sock Dart "Midnight Navy"

It's a silhouette that few people remember, but it's the first sneaker of its kind.

With more people opting for lightweight and comfortable sneakers, several brands are now leaning towards knitted sneakers.

Most people could debate again and again as to who came up first with the technology but nobody would deny the fact that the Sock Dart were the original experiment for the said technology.

First introduced in 2004, the Sock Dart is now seeing an interesting reboot thanks to Fragment Design; making it look like a new design by Nike rather than a recall from a previously executed concept.

Closely resembling one of the initial Sock Darts by Fragment Design, the "Midnight Navy" comes in with a tonal blue mesh upper.

A TPU toe cap is placed to reinforce and protect it from normal wear, while a see-through mid-foot strap keeps its figure and shape, and finished off with a white heel counter.

Nike branding are found in the midsole, insole, tongue tab, as well as in the heel counter.

All of it on top of a white midsole and all black outsole.

Interestingly, the mid-foot strap can be adjusted to your liking; snug enough to keep your foot in place while on the move, or loose enough to give your mid-foot some breathing space.
