Sa Sabsaban (In the Manger) recording with fuseboxx, Noel Cabangon, and ANIMA Choir
'Tis the most wonderful time of the year and fuseboxx together with Noel Cabangon and ANIMA Choir has something for everyone.
Yes, it is Christmas season again here in the Philippines; colorful lights, creative decors, and relaxing carols are everywhere. Some of the country's talented recording artists gathered to give the Filipino people something to listen to while enjoying the most celebrated season in the country.
Last year, I found myself in WILD Grass Studio in Quezon City amazed with all the gadgetry used in coming up with those songs you either buy off the record stores or purchase for digital download.
I was invited by fuseboxx as they are wrapping up the Christmas hymn they came up with, and that day was special because the main man who will bring life to the song is going to hit the studio.
Sir Noel Cabangon.
After a few rounds of getting the feel of the song, it's time to take a break...
...and goof around!
It's also time for some quick photo ops.
With ANIMA Choir.
With fuseboxx' Mico Ong and his daughter.
Now, back to work.
Recording a song, or let alone, a verse or line in a song can really be tedious.
They went back and forth recording parts of the song until it was agreed everything sounds right.
Of course, every thing that is happening is being documented.
A couple more hours passed, it's done.
And it's our time to fool around.
Junny Lim, Producer and Sound Engineer was all hands in mixing the song.
Of course, more photo ops.
Mico Ong, Eric Tubon, Noel Cabangon, Abby Clutario, Junny Lim, and Anthony Dio.
Props to everyone involved in this project.
The song is in Filipino but nonetheless, you can watch the Music Video below:
