Sneakercon Hong Kong 2017

A week ago, I was in for a treat as I was able to witness and be part of Sneakercon Hong Kong thanks to Archived and Kixdreams.

August 26, 2017 has to be one of the biggest day of my sneaker-infused life. Not only because I will be attending Sneakercon's first ever leg in Asia, but I will also be part of it.

After a quick vacation in Hong Kong, I came back just few hours after but this time with Archived PH team. Arriving early, we took some rest then went off to eat, take photos, and pay a visit to Kixdreams.

Sneakercon day started out early for all of us. Soon as we were in the venue around 8 in the morning, we went ahead and set up our respective table.

We brought gems mostly for display and some for sale.

Kixdreams' table was insane by itself, showing off some rare gems and PE's of different Jordan Brand athletes and by His Airness himself.

After our table was set, I went around and took photos before the whole place gets filled by eager heads.

This table really made my jaw drop. The entire wall itself already cost a fortune. Huge props to Jeff and the rest of SoleAddicttUNDS team for coming up with this insane display.

Fellow vendors and personalities can't help but stop and admire what Jeff and his team put up. Even Jaysse Lopez of Urban Necessities can't help but look at it and shake his head out of disbelief.

I decided to keep it lowkey for the event and broke out this Nike Air Footscape Woven Chukka Motion from 2012 in the black colorway.

SoleAddicttUnds team were also wearing heat for the event: Jeff in his favorite Nike SB London, Simon in the Yellow Lobster to name a few.

It was fun hanging out with Jeff and the rest of his team.

The main man himself, Randy of Kixdreams. We are very grateful for all you have done during this insane event.

After some quick chit chats, I immediately went back and checked out other tables in the event.

Vendors and collectors were not the only ones present but also creative people who are into creating custom shoes.

This one looks like Rengar from League of Legends. Can you guess which shoe was deconstructed to make this?

Ziv Lee was also in the building. We all know him because of his creations using the Nike Air Vapormax.

It was a whole different table when I got back from taking photos. Shoe Butter arrived packed with more heat for our display. We had to rearrange our table to make way for additional stuff.

New friends from Singapore. Yong of The PLAYBOOK with the Nike x Tom Sachs Mars Yard 2.0

A lot of media outlets and blogs were there to do interviews. We came sort of prepared.

Soon as the doors opened, the entire hall was filled with people of all ages eager to find out what's in store.

I have to say the highlight of this event, aside from the numerous gems and exclusive pairs on display, is the presence of NBA Superstar Ray Allen. I'd be glad to have photos of him but to have him drop by our table and share some words with some of us: PRICELESS.

It was back to regular programming soon as Ray Allen made his way to the court set up for him. We were all caught up with everything happening on our table, I didn't have the opportunity to leave and take more photos of him.

People from Highsnobiety also dropped by our table and did some quick chat.

Jeff again with the quick change up. Nicely done soleswap for the '89 Air Jordan IV.

Sneakercon Hong Kong was definitely an experience worth sharing. Hopefully, this wouldn't be the last time our team will be able to share what we have. Again, thank you to Kixdreams, SoleAddicttUnds, The Playbook, and everyone who made our first Sneakercon experience something to remember.
